1. Fiat 500.
A car which has long been associated with female drivers is the Fiat 500. It’s one of our best cars for women because of its low tax rates, low running costs and cheap car insurance premiums. The Fiat 500 can be a great choice for any beginner driver because it is small, easy to manoeuvre, and won’t cost you an arm and a leg. You’ll usually spot the Fiat 500 around town rather than powering down the motorway, but it can handle both pretty well if needs be.
2. Audi A1.
The Audi A1 is a sporty, stylish hatchback that can be great for female drivers. It’s one of our favourite cars for women because it not only looks great but it’s also really practical, whether it’s used for city driving or commuting to work, the Audi A1 is highly capable of both. Audi is known for its plush and high-quality materials, which help to create a more luxurious feel. It’s one of the cheaper models in the Audi line, too, so it can suit a range of different drivers and budgets.
3. Mini Cooper.
The MINI Cooper can be seen as somewhat of a fashion accessory. They are small, cute and nippy. However, they are slightly impractical. Due to their small interior space and boot offering, passengers may be cramped and you can’t really get a lot in the boot. There’s no denying they look great though, and they’re pretty agile on the road. The MINI Cooper comes with low road tax, cheap running costs, and they’re fun to drive. If you’re after something a little more eco-friendly, the MINI Electric is worth a look in.
4. Volkswagen Polo.
The Volkswagen Polo is one of the best cars for women, but it’s also a great all-rounder. We’ve recently featured it on our list of the best cars for golf clubs due to its decent boot and rear space. The Volkswagen Polo is ‘designed to attract both sexes’, as stated by Volkswagen themselves, and we do agree. We like it for its fun and funky styling, and practicality. Go from the everyday school run to a weekend road trip with ease and get a decent MPG whilst doing so.
5. Range Rover Evoque.
If you’re looking for something bigger than the cars on our list of the best cars for girls, the Range Rover Evoque could be for you. In the past, the Evoque has been marketed as a car for women by Land Rover themselves. Its appeal comes from its luxury features, compact body and high ride height. For added peace of mind, it scores 5* in the NCAP safety rating and comes with some great safety features like Blind Spot Warning
6. Volkswagen Beetle.
When you think of cars for women, the Volkswagen Beetle probably springs to mind. Whilst it is not gender specific, sales of the Beetle tend to be around 65% women and 35% men. The Beetle is instantly recognisable and sure to turn heads on the road. The interior space is small, but they’re nippy, efficient and fun to drive. Beetles were discontinued by Volkswagen in 2019. However, the rumour is a Brand-New 2025 Beetle is being unveiled soon!
7. Maxda MX5.
When the Mazda MX5 first hit the streets, it was small, affordable and cute, so you can see its appeal to women. However, in past years, it’s really grown into its own. It’s still small and affordable, but it’s matured into one of the best sports cars you can buy! The Mazda MX5 is so fun to drive and really efficient. It’s a little two-seater car so there’s no room for passengers but it surely gives any driver a thrill.
8. Hyundai Ioniq 5.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a great car for women if you’re looking for a futuristic electric car that isn’t a Tesla. It’s one of the best MPG cars you can buy and it’s great for commuting. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a flexible, highly capable car that can provide an impressive 238-mile range, or choose the 84kWh battery and get a huge 354-mile capacity. It’s a great choice for any driver and feels premium both inside and out.
9. Toyota Lexus NX.
The Toyota Lexus NX can be attractive to women due to its polished image and sleek curves. It’s a great all-around performer and isn’t really gender specific though. It’s a good choice for anyone looking for a hybrid car that’s efficient and reliable. There’s plenty of space inside and it could surely handle family life with ease. You’ll no doubt get a few approving looks on the road as the Toyota Lexus NX is eye-catching and looks really smart.
10. Audi TT.
And last but not least, the Audi TT is one of our best choices for cars for girls. However, just like the Mazda MX5, it shook off its ‘women-only’ vibe a good few years ago. It is a spritely and sporty coupe car that is exciting to drive and handles the road well. The Audi TT has been revamped in recent years, and the latest edition is really impressive. It comes with a new and improved interior, infotainment and new driving modes.
